The Baroness Undressed at the Cabildo a unique portrayal of the unbelievable true story of New Orleans own Micaela Almonester, better known as the infamous Iron Bird of Paradise:The Baroness de Pontalba. Oct 3. $35​​

Arts For Arts Sake​ The CAC hosts Southern Crossings, a FREE performance showcase featuring: Leyla McCalla and Kiyoka McCrae, Kesha McKey & KM Dance Project, and Vagabond Inventions with Renee Benson. Oct 5. FREE EVENT

Ballet of Midsummer's Night Dream​ Based on the Shakespeare comedy, the new ballet by Company dancer Derwin May Jr. will feature an original score for orchestra and women's chorus by local composer Tucker Fuller. Oct 4- 6. $30-$40

Glamrock Superfoxx presents The Lost Boys your favorite vampire movie to come alive with the cast and crew of Glamrock Superfoxx. Jesse Tripp and the Nightbreed will be the live band doing songs from the soundtrack. Oct 4-12 at the Theater behind the Allways Lounge. $20

Noises Off!​ a farce about a cast and crew who are desperately trying to make it through just one dress rehearsal before their first audience arrives. Running Oct 4-20 at Le Petit Theatre. $15-$60

Spotlight New Orleans​ a monthly talk show featuring interviews, live music, and theatrical performances. This month's guests including AshleyRose Bailey and Megan Kosmoski of New Orleans Box Office; Shannon Rainey representing the Residents of Gordon Plaza; and comedian Mary-Devon Dupuy. Oct 9 at Cafe Istanbul. $10

Higgins: The Man, The Boat, The War​​ A combination of live-action newsreel re-creation, musical revue, and dramatic history, this new original play tells the story of New Orleans boatbuilder Andrew Higgins. Running Oct 11-Nov 10 at the WWII Museum's BB's Stage Door Canteen. $33-$66

Movement For Change​ artists of all genres and backgrounds explore issues that are relevant to our society and encourages audiences to start a dialogue around these issues. Produced by Artivism Dance Company. Running Oct 12-13 at Art Klub. $15-$25

Sleepy Hollow​ presented by the NOLA Project this horrifically-hilarious new play, follows a theatre company prepared to present Washington Irving’s 1820 tale when members of the cast and crew begin to mysteriously disappear. Running Oct 16-Nov 10 at the Sculpture Garden. $15-$35

To Love The Crab Art Klub resident artist, choreographer, and dancer Marion Spencer, is a dance exploring resistance, the feminine, ambition, healing, capitalism's need for relentless growth (and the toll that takes), and transformation. Oct 18 at Art Klub

Radical Buffoons Fundraiser​: As The World Burns is a Krew of Boo Afterparty fundraiser featuring live performances from some of NOLA's premier Burlesque, Drag, and Sideshow Performers​, and games of chance!! Oct 19 at the Fortress of Lushington. $20-$25

Gulf Coast Playwrights New Play Showcase​ Eight local playwrights will showcase new Ten Minute plays in an evening of staged readings. Oct 21 at Art Klub. $10

Designer Happy Hour​ New Orleans Box Office is hosting a networking event at the new bar and theatre, Beaubourg. For stage designers and technicians to hang out, talk about projects, explore the new space and show off costumes! *Costumes optional* Oct 23 at Beaubourg Theater. FREE EVENT

Native Gardens In this new comedy, cultures and gardens clash, turning well-intentioned neighbors into feuding enemies. Presented by Southern Rep. Running Oct 30-Nov 17. $25-$50​
