Open Call at City-Wide Auditions

Open Call for AEA and non-AEA actors, singers, and actor-musicians in New Orleans

Saturday, May 18 from 10 AM to 4 PM at Southern Rep

Sunday, June 16 from 5 PM to 8 PM at Tulane University

The auditions will be attended by local theatre companies and independent producers seeking new talent for their upcoming seasons. Please note that children under 18 will NOT be seen.


ALL actors should audition with the following items, in order:

1. Slate (with full name, audition piece(s), and author(s))

2. 16 Bars of a musical theatre standard (Optional)

3. One (1) one-minute monologue.

ALL actors, singers, and actor-musicians interested in participating should bring 10 copies of attached headshot and resume. Please indicate if you have rapier, fencing or combat training, and what, if any, instrument you play. Be aware that you will be asked to stop after one minute—be sure to time your audition in rehearsal. Singers should bring sheet music and prepare 16 bars of a musical theatre standard. An accompanist will be present.

AEA (Actors’ Equity Association) ACTORS ​will be seen by appointment between 5-6PM. AEA Members should go to ​https://tinyurl.com/yyqxcr8v ​ to schedule an appointment. ​No phone calls.
