Two Unique Theatrical Experiences in One Evening:

Flying Lessons is an innovative new work that skillfully combines dance, object, and shadow theater, blurring the line between puppet, set, and plaything. About three women who take refuge in an abandoned house during a storm. Their presence awakens a strange and shadowy world of memory and desire.

Ripping Stitches is the inaugural production for New Orleans physical theatre company Kite & Cadaver. Maple and Blue live isolated from the rest of the world in their cozy home - a cube suspended in the air. An aerial play about intimacy, dependency, and struggling to hold on.

December 6 & 7 | 8pm Happyland Theater | 3126 Burgundy Street

Period of Adjustment is a holiday comedy that proves that Tennessee Williams had the same kind of feelings about Christmas get-togethers as the rest of us: complicated. A pair of newlyweds stuck in a hellish honeymoon shows up unexpectedly at the home of a set of “old marrieds” only to learn that the hosts themselves aren’t having any luck in love, either!

Produced by the Tennessee Williams Theatre Company and Directed by Lizzie and Ryan Bruce.

GIVE BACK THIS WEEKEND

On International Giving Tuesday, December 3rd, 2019, you are cordially invited….to stay home!!

What is Giving Tuesday, you may ask? It is a world-wide movement to create an international day of charitable giving at the beginning of the Christmas and holiday season.

Instead of hosting a gala during the most busy time of the year, Prescription Joy is hosting an Un-Gala. During this online-only event, you can support healthcare clowning from the comfort of your own home. Your generosity will help RX Joy reach their goal of $7,000 by the end of 2019.

Your donation will contribute towards Prescription Joy's 2020 goal: Continue bringing healthcare clowning to new locations at The Village At St. Bernard Assisted & Independent Living and New Orleans Women & Children’s Shelter. Your gift of any amount will help make this possible.

November 29- December 1
