POOF! Second Production Produced by nolaNOW

When a housewife comes to the end of her rope with her abusive husband, she doesn't expect him to spontaneously combust. Now, she has a pile of ashes on the floor, and a life to reclaim. This one-act explores feminism, domestic abuse, and recovery through humor and hope.

Each performance will begin with a unique opening act titled “I am here. I AM.” where local artists Rachel Blackstone and Joshua Bock will reflect on the show’s themes through their collaborative poetry and music. On the 8th and 16th, we will also be joined by dancer Rey Hope Hansen, who has created a movement piece to compliment the show.

November 7th-17th Beaubourg Theatre, 614 Gravier street $15-$25

CABARET the Musical Presented with a Live Band

See 'Em On Stage: A Production Company (Big Easy Award winning company that has produced shows in New Orleans such as Evil Dead: The Musical, Terminator the Musical, Lizzie, and The Wiz) presents the iconic musical CABARET at the New Orleans Arts Center on St Claude.

In a Berlin nightclub, as the 1920’s draw to a close, a garish Master of Ceremonies welcomes the audience and assures them they will forget all their troubles at the CABARET. With the Emcee’s bawdy songs as wry commentary, CABARET explores the dark, heady, and tumultuous life of Berlin’s natives and expatriates as Germany slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich.
